Dr. Syed Asim Husain is a pain management specialist that believes in a multidisciplinary approach to treating patients in pain. He designs patient-specific treatment plans that are effective and that the patients are comfortable with. While he specializes in procedures of the spine and peripheral joints, he also incorporates different philosophies of medicine including homeopathic medicine.
Dr. Husain is an assistant professor, part of the Northwell Healthcare system. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation & Pain Medicine. After medical school, he completed his internship at UMDNJ (Rutgers). He then went on to complete his residency at NYU and finished training with his fellowship in pain medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Husain was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in northern New Jersey. He is fluent in Hindi and Urdu. When he is not working he enjoys sporting activities including football, basketball, and lacrosse.
