Kim Mazzella

General Manager, Nutritionist


As the General Manager and Nutritionist for Eastpointe Health and Fitness, Kim Mazzella works with our members to ensure a balanced and integrated approach to health.

Kim graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in Foods and Nutrition. She is also a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM.) Specializing in weight loss and sports nutrition, Kim has worked with clients of all ages and fitness levels to ensure an appropriate caloric intake, address lifestyle concerns and increase energy levels through a balanced diet. In addition to her formal education, Kim has a number of certificates including her Precision Nutrition Level 1 Nutrition certification as well as a Sports Nutrition from International Sports Sciences Association.

Kim also works as a health and wellness consultant for Humana and other companies delivering Webinars and classroom training on various Health and Wellness topics including nutrition, exercise and health lifestyles. She is also a contributing writer for a women's how to guide for health/wellness and general empowerment at

Kim is committed to helping our members achieve the results critical for health and wellness. Her extensive background and experience in both exercise and nutrition counseling provide a solid foundation for client success.

Katy Peterson



Katy graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science and a minor in Psychology. While there she completed an internship that focused on nutrition counseling and helping clients create a healthy relationship with food. She also volunteered at Clara Maas Medical Center doing nutrition support group presentations for cardiac patients.

Being an NJ local, Katy is passionate about improving the well-being of her community. Her goal is to re-shape the nutritional habits and behaviors of her clients to enhance their long-term health and reduce the risk of obesity, cancer, and chronic disease while creating a balanced and sustainable lifestyle.

Katy believes that there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to nutrition. She personalizes each client's plan to promote maintainable and optimal nutrition and health for their needs and lifestyle.​​

In her free time Katy loves to cook and create recipes with foods that are in season, try new restaurants, strength train, read, and spend time in nature.
